Embracing the Christmas Spirit at Princess Royal Hospital!

On Saturday 16th of December 2023, festive cheer enveloped the Princess Royal Hospital in a magnificent display when Roy Randall, a dedicated volunteer with a long-standing commitment to University Hospitals Sussex, organised a carol singing session to help raise funds for My University Hospitals Sussex. The Princess Royal Hospital’s reception entrance transformed into a magical space, filled with the joyous sounds of carols, and the atmosphere was further heightened by the presence of the Mayor of Haywards Heath, Councillor Stephanie Inglesfield.

Roy Randall, along with his talented ensemble, delivered a heart warming performance that captivated and uplifted both staff and visitors alike. The carol singers, led by Roy himself, skilfully navigated through a repertoire of festive classics and beloved family favourites.

The success of the session was undoubtedly rooted in the spirit of family, with Roy being joined by his extended family. Among them were his daughter and grandchildren, seasoned performers who brought not only their musical prowess but also a touch of style and range to the choir’s performance.

“Roy is a long serving volunteer at the Princess Royal where he also volunteers for Mid-Downs Radio. We’re absolutely delighted to have Roy direct todays proceedings which are joyous to behold – a real uplift for the soul! And of course, raising valuable funds for My Charity!”

The carol performers included Tia Bliss, sister Luci, and mother Pippa Randall, Dave Hammond, Natalie Porter, Sue Dunford, and Wendy Swinton-Eagle. Huge thanks to Robbie Randall, Vince Hallett, and all who supported the event.
