My University Hospitals Sussex has been welcoming top TV comedians to the Charmandean Centre in Worthing.

On Thursday, 22nd February, Covert Comedy made its third appearance , attracting people from all across Sussex to enjoy a who’s who of TV comedy taking the stage to help raise vital funds for your local NHS hospitals.

Attendees waited with bated breath for the big reveal. First up from the secret star-studded line-up was the electric emcee for the evening, the raucous Rich Wilson, followed by the fabulous Farrah Sharp, glorious Garrett Millerick, and a knock-out headline performance by the tremendous Tom Ward.

Throughout their sets, the comedians had the audience in stitches with their sharp wit, salacious stories, and impeccable timing. Each performer brought their unique comedy stylings, treating the audience to a cornucopia of comedy.

Isobel, a ward nurse at Worthing Hospital, endorsed the Covert Comedy theme,

“I've had such a good time tonight, and not knowing which act you're going to get was a way to discover comedians I'd never seen before.”

Not only was it a night filled with laughter, but it was also a much-needed release for all in attendance. It was an opportunity for everyone involved to be part of the My University Hospitals Sussex journey, helping to change the lives of local NHS patients and staff, for the better.

My University Hospitals Sussex extends our heartfelt gratitude to all of the evening’s performers, organisers, and, of course, you. With your support and generosity, the evening raised £2,756 to improve care in your local NHS hospitals in Sussex.

Looking forward to seeing you all again – please being your friends – when Covert Comedy returns on May 23rd.
